Throwback Thursday - A Pirates Lesson
A few years back, our family set sail on a pirate boat adventure for my nephew’s birthday. It was a day filled with laughter, playful sword fights (yes, I even fought for the family’s honor ), and unforgettable memories with my parents , including my late father, Gheorghe Tata de Piatra. Looking back, I’m so grateful for that time together as the little times matter
And here’s something I never knew until recently: Pirates didn’t wear eye patches just because of injuries , many actually wore them to keep one eye adjusted to the dark. That way, when they went below deck or attacked at night, they could see instantly in the darkness and be ready for anything. A clever trick, and a reminder that life is often about being prepared for the battles (and surprises) that come our way. Best be prepared
